Details
You are a member of The Pathfinder Society, an organisation of explorers and treasure hunters, documenting history and cultures, recovering relics from lost ruins.
For every three scenarios played, your character gains a new level, and you can progress your character over the course of many Pathfinder Society adventures held at different conventions and events run throughout the year.
Scenarios will be chosen on the day to suit character level and scenarios previously played. If we attract three or more tables in one session, we may be able to offer the Year of the Shadow Lodge special.
New players are encouraged to build their own 1st level characters; however, pre-generated characters are available for players unfamiliar with the rules or anyone who arrives unprepared. As your character(s) start gaining in level, players are reminded to prepare new first-level characters to ensure you can continue to play regardless of which level tables are available during a particular session.
The Advanced Players Guide offers many new options for your character, including six new base classes (Alchemist, Cavalier, Inquisitor, Oracle, Summoner, Witch), new class archetypes, feats, spells and more.
The Magus base class from the Ultimate Magic playtest is also an available choice for your Pathfinder Society character.
Certain character Traits, Feats, Equipment, Spells, Prestige Classes etc published in other Pathfinder sourcebooks may be available choices for your Pathfinder Society character - please consult Chapter 13 of the Guide to Organsied Play. Players using rules from other Pathfinder sourcebooks for their characters MUST bring a copy of the sourcebook with them for the Games Master to reference for that item to be allowed during play.
