The last sixteen years had gone by quickly for Shinnosuke since the death of Tenjin Sadayuki. The Special Mobile Unit that Shinnosuke had led had been dissolved and he had quickly adapted to being a teacher, imparting his knowledge to up and coming police recruits. His wife Kei was now the head of the National Police Agency’s Cyber Division, protecting Japan's networks from criminal elements. They still kept in touch with Nachiko after she resigned from the police but she has kept information on current employer very secret. Kenji had married Sadayuki’s mother’s clone, Ai, and they also kept in touch.

Shinosuke and Kei’s three daughters had grown into three beautiful young women, which made Shinnosuke’s life just that little bit more stressful. However a well maintained katana added that little bit of extra incentive for any boy wanting to date one his precious daughters to behave himself!

Especially Kenji and Ai son, Sadayuki. Yes, clone Ai had disturbingly named her son after the son of her real body! With all these confusing and chaotic things happening in his life it was no wonder he got headaches!

Today however was not a day of work but a day to get together with his old friends and to remember their absent comrade. Nachiko, Kenji and Ai were all here as was Kenji and Ai’s son with two of his friends in tow.

Even their occult bookshop owning friend Rei, had managed to get here. In fact Shinnosuke could hear her playing some weird game with his three daughters in the next room. Then he heard a word from Rei that made his blood run cold, “Oops…”
