Archangels

In the beginning, God created the Heavens and Earth.

Just before that though, a very interesting argument had just ended.

Different aspects of the mind of God had incarnated long before the start of time, with the intention of making their opinions heard. Gabriel, Micheal and Uriel formed a power block and refused to give up on the concept of determinism. Samual favoured free will, and wanted a democratic decision made about it, but Phanuel refused them all point blank, saying that as the Face of God, He/She/It had to have the last say. Israfil tried to set Himself up as mediator (as usual), but was distracted as Raphael and Baaliel almost came to blows over whether humanity should experience pain. Only Azrael, the Angel of Death, stayed out of it. As It watched the ensuring threats and complaints, It found Itself shaking Its head. With the entirety of creation at stake, a metaphysical argument could cause a fall from grace for eternity. It would be a miracle if they got it all started without killing themselves.

Looking at the universe we got, who said it was not created by a committee?

A freeform at the dawn of time for sixteen archangels.

If costuming is desired, togas are recommended, but Archangels wearing Italian suits, or anything appropriate to the sphere they control would be amusing. Divine power, infinate possibility, boundless ego. Does that spell trouble? You betcha. Knowledge of In Nomine is unessential, and in fact may give headaches.

In the year 2040, the latest hobby for the jaded and wealthy is the SQUID (Superconducting Quantum Interference Device) - a device that lets you see, feel and experience the life of another.

Murder is still illegal. The penalty - Demolition.

Thats not going to stop you (but we are). Five wealthy youths (five stranded victims), tired of everyday pleasure and everyday drugs have become addicted to K47, a mind altering drug that kills the host slowly and painfully.

Thats okay though - thanks to the SQUID, you don't have to take the drug - thats for the street trash you manipulate (we're all dying?).

The Hall of the Gods

Come with me to Asgard, where Odin, the All-Father, hosts a feast for his nearest and dearest. Thor, the god of thunder adn of man, and Sif, his golden haired giantess wife. The Vanir gods, Freyr, the god of fertility, and his beauteous sister Freya, the goddess of sex and death, chief of the Valkyrie maidens. And Njord, their father, the summer god. Frija, the goddess of motherhood and divination, and her son Balder, most beloved of all the gods. Loki, the trickster and his giantess wife Sigyn. Heimdall the ever-watchful and Tyr, the god of warriors. And there are visitors from afar. Skadi, a harsh but beautiful giantess renowned for her skills at hunting and winter sports. Gerd, a striking giantess maiden who guards the golden apples of Asgard, and the dwarves Ivaldison and Eitri, who come bearing gifts both precious and rare. All have gathered to hear the words of the All-Father, and to bask in the comfort of friends, for who can fail to notice the chill bite in the air?

A single session Nordic freeform for 16 players. Costumes appreciated and pre-bookings accepted (but they must be confirmed at registration)

Somerset Beach

A Wyvern's Lair Production The townsfolk of Sealer's Bay in Northern California will be inundated by the cast and crew of the popular daytime soap "Somerset Beach" this comming weekend, as filming shifts from the usual beach-side locale to the wooded cliff-tops for the filming of this seasons "cliff-hanger" episode. Vanderlsey Studios have rented the old abandoned lighthouse on the edge of Sealer's Point, and have made plans to stage the final episode on a closed set. Security has been kept tight, but rumours leaked today to the press indicate that one of the major stars of the show will be possibly killed off. Could it be that the ever popular Timothy Mitchell may be seeking greener pastures? The entire area has been closed to the public for the duration of the shoot.
