Elindal Productions presents
The Roman Empire stretches the length and breadth
of the known world. The sons of Gods, the Emperors
themselves, ascend to godhood upon their death.
And so it is the Emperor Augustus has this day
reached this lofty ideal.
Feasts and festivals originally meant to celebrate
the 25th birthdays of his twin daughters will now
mourn his passing and celebrate his transition to
Godhood.
The Imperial Family and selected members of the
Senate gather to show their respects. But they ask
themselves, who will be the next Emperor, for there
was no clear line of succession.
A single session Freeform for 15-22 players set in
Rome before the fall.

Come to the great days of Rome - Where men were
real men, women were real women, and small persian
cats from lower Pompei were real small persian cats
from lower Pompei.
All winter the Black Tower has sheltered it's
intrepid band of defenders and wayfarers from the
wild mountain weather. Now, as the last blizzard of
spring rages around it's walls, Sir William Black,
your fearless and indomitable commander lies dead.
Murder most foul; a single knife thrust to the brain;
a summons to surrender from the enemy army, lying at
the bottom of the pass waiting for the storms
passing, in his hand. A moment your weather wizard
assures you is but a few hours away.
A single session, twelve
player, murder mystery Black Death freeform set in a
fantasy/medieval world.
Written by Larry, and brought to
you in conjunction with Richard Canning and Sara
Hanson.

The Great
Dividing Range drops in a sudden escarpment
to the rich coastal plains of northern NSW.
There, nestled in a lazy bend of the Gwydir
River is the forgettable town of Alicia.
Built on the site of a huge massacre it seems
to manifest many of the differences between
town & bush. In 1998/99 there will be
an election in Australia.
One side faces the polls
with a huge majority on their side, they are
ahead in the polls but the mood of the people
is rapidly changing.
|
| Can
one get inside the others head? |
Although many
other issues will be current this may be the
election by which history will judge the
maturity and morals of Australian society. In
Alicia the locals & outsiders ask the
question: Is it even possible to address the
wrongs of the past without creating more
victims?

A 20 player, 1
session fun freeform of politics, opportunism and
ethical dilemmas with a plot - by Tony Guyot.
In the end, it
will be a town like Alicia that decides the
result.
Set in Alicia in the
days surrounding the next election.

Inheritance

The childer ran as if all
the lords of darkness were at his heels. Gasping he
pushed through the doorway to safety.
The Sherrif grasped at him
asking, "Why do you disturb the peace of the
Prince's Court"
The childer stood panting,
his fear lending him the exhaustion that his body
should not feel.
"I ask again",
demanded the Sherrif, "what drives you so?"
The childer collapses at the
Sherrif's feet, unconscious and unknowing.
Melbourne is a city under
siege, anonymous threats appear almost as quickly as
Kindred are vanishing, even the Garou are not immune.
The time has come for the
Kindred and Garou of Melbourne to take back their
city. the only real question is can they work
together, or is their emnity so great that they would
rather risk their own fall than help each other.

Young Julianna
awoke early that morning, butterflies dancing a merry
jig in her slender stomach. She had been looking
forward to this day for quite a while now, yet still
felt a small measure of aprehension too. After all,
she had only met her betrothed once before; six
months ago when his family travelled to court to
arrange their marriage. Still, he had seemed to be a
very nice lad, and rather cute, especially when he
smiled.
Julianna's maid
had not yet laid out her clothes for her; the sun was
still asleep in its bed, but since Midsummer had only
just passed, it wasn't too cold. She crept out of her
room, clad only in her thin nightgown, thinking to
get something from the kitchen. After all, the cooks
should already be preparing dawn fry.
Passing by the
Great Hall, she heard a sound that she felt was out
of place ... the sound of dripping water. Yet, it
didn't quite sound right. Her curiosity getting the
better of her, she quietly entered the Hall ... and
froze; her eyes widening with horror.
There, impaled by
his own great sword, on his own throne, was
Julianna's father, King Edred, his blood slowly
running down the exposed pommel and dripping onto the
flagstones below.

Old English style
text for the title area would be appreciated. The
rest in some sort of stylish font would be nice (I
don't have any actual preference). If you wish to
discuss it with me, please call me on the phone.

This is an Official Mythos event.
Mythos is the collectible trading
card game designed an published by the makers of Call
of Cthulhu. It features horror elements and an
involving investigator based style of play which is
often appreciated by roleplayers. The Mythos events
at Arcanacon are pitched to attract roleplayers who
dabble in card games rather than hardened card
sharks. We are looking for absorbing, exciting play,
rather than carefully designed "killer"
decks.
Sealed Deck Event
Participants obtain a starter deck
(and perhaps some boosters) of Mythos cards. As only
these cards may be used there is no disadvantage for
those who do not have an extensive Mythos collection
already, indeed this event offers an opportunity to
play the game and obtain some cards cheaply. The
details of exactly which cards will be used, and the
full cost involved will be available closer to the
date of the convention (check the web-site). New and
inexperienced players are welcome.
Open Deck Event
Participants must provide their own
complete Mythos decks of 60 or more cards (containing
20 points of adventures which can be completed).
While standard tournament rules will reward the
overall winner as usual, additional awards will be
given for the most interesting deck and for the most
enjoyable player. A special award will be given for
the most extreme adventure completed (Save the World,
anyone?) and particularly cool card play will be
similarly rewarded on the spot!
Cardiel's new Ambassador is due to
arrive at the Emperor's Court today. After a brief
private interview with the Emperor and the Imperial
Advisors he will be attending a Reception given in
his honour by the elite of Imperial Capital Society.
The exact identity of the new Ambassador is not
known, but it is rumoured to be the paradoxical and
controversial Lord Bright Raven, one of the closest
advisors and confidants to the Prince of Cardiel.
Philanderer and devoted family man,
barbarian mercenary and cultured man of letters,
languid fop and deadly warrior, prophet and dealer
with the devil, all of these and more. The man is an
enigma, although one rumour suggests that he is in
fact the power behind the throne in Cardiel.

freeforms and methods of execution.
Scenario Writing
Seminar (Suitable for all games systems): Sunday,
3pm
Come to either or
both parts.
The first hour will
address general aspects of scenario writing, campaign
planning, GM strategies, PC and NPC development.
The second hour is
specifically on what it takes to put a scenario on at
Arcanacon. If you are thinking of writing and running
a scenario for the first time next year, then this is
a must.
Mark S. Holsworth has
been writing and running scenarios since the first
Arcanacon (RQ, Cthulhu Conglomerate, HMV 2 & 3).
Special guest scenario designers will be available to
give advice and answer questions.
