Arcanacon 40K is Australias largest Warhammer 40,000 competition.

TOURNAMENT RULES

- The core details:
- 4th edition Warhammer 40,000 rules, plus all Codices and Chapter Approved rules variations published by Monday 15 January 2007 (except where exempted below)
- Please bring a 1,200 point army, plus one primary objective (max base size 60mm) and two secondary objectives (max base size 40mm)
- All miniatures MUST BE PAINTED. Unpainted miniatures CANNOT be fielded.
- Check the website to see which rules and armies are legal
- Players will fight SIX battles each of 3 hours duration, at 10:00am, 1:00pm and 4:00pm each day on SATURDAY 27 JANUARY and SUNDAY 28 JANUARY.
- Army Rosters MUST be submitted by midnight on Monday 15 January 2006 via email. See the website for details about the correct format.
- Players will receive points for each battle for Generalship and Sportsmanship, and will receive an overall mark for Army Painting and Army Selection. Full judging criteria and a list of prizes and awards are available on the website.
- Players are encouraged to bring terrain if you can provide a 6x4 table of quality terrain, please contact the organiser. There will be a Best Table prize (player vote) and a Random Table prize (raffle draw).
REGISTRATIONS
- There are 150 places. We expect the competition to fill quickly.
- To reserve your place, book on the AON system online, and pay on the day.
- Registrations open at 8:30am on the Saturday. You can also register on Friday.
- You must be at the venue and registered by 9:30am sharp on Saturday. Latecomers will forfeit their place. If there are extenuating circumstances, you must contact 0411 238-427 before 9:30am.
- If you have to cancel, please contact the organiser as soon as possible. If you fail to turn up or give notice, you will be banned from registering in future events
- If the event books out in advance, there are two ways you might still get to play:
- Emergency List: Contact the organiser to be placed on the emergency list. We will contact you if a place becomes available.
- Last Chance: Unregistered players on the emergency list are welcome to come on the day. Be ready to play with a painted 1200 point army with an Army Roster and Army Background. If any places are forfeited at the 9:30am cut-off, spare places will allocated on the order on the emergency list.
FUN STUFF
- On Friday, GROTS are hosting the Longest Table battle from midday.
- On Saturday night, stick around for the famous Arcanacon barbie, followed by freestyle grudge matches, Imperial Front IV (presented by WARS) and the Golden Fez.
- If you have stuff to sell, bring it along for Secondhand Sunday.
- The lads from CNC Workshop Miniature Scenery will be back with a trade stand
- The mighty 1,200 Watt Temple of Slaanesh will be indahouse thanks to DGENR8
