Trophies and/or certificates are awarded for most tournaments; to place-getters, in recognition of roleplaying excellence, or to players who have done something outstanding during a game. Where tournaments have been generously sponsored by game retailers or companies, that sponsorship may sometimes take the form of company products as prizes.
Selection criteria for these awards is left to the discretion of individual tournament organisers. If a game writer chooses not to give awards, this will be mentioned in their blurb.

Chilli Kiss has been our official post Con venue of choice for the last few years, as well as a generous sponsor to Arcanacon. Situated just north of Johnston St on Nicholas St, they are only a short distance from the Con site, and have coped admirably with the sight of 80-odd ravenous and thirsty roleplayers rampaging in the door after prizegiving on Monday night.
So, once again, at the end of the convention, we will descend upon Chilli Kiss for much anecdoting, food and refreshing margueritas.
The loverly management of Chilli Kiss are also continuing to sponsor Arcanacon to the tune of four dinners for two. These dinners will be awarded as part of Syd's Birthday party on Saturday night - just one more reason to join in the festivities!
