Arcanacon XV
Here are the fantastic freeforms in alphabetical order by title:
"It was the end of the Earth year
2260, and the war had paused, suddenly and unexpectedly.
All around us, it was as if the universe were holding its breath,
waiting.
All of life can be broken down into moments of transition or
moments ... of revelation.
This had the feeling of both."
GQuan wrote: "There is a greater darkness than
the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost
its way. The war we fight is not against powers and
principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the
death of flesh is the death of hope. The death of dreams. Against
this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us,
waiting in moments of transition, to be born.
In moments of transition, no-one knows the shape of that future,
or where it will take us.
We know only that it is always born in pain."
From The Book of GKar
"Moments of Transition" is a single session freeform based on the Babylon 5 television series. It is advised that you view the third season of Babylon 5 (recently broadcast) before playing in this freeform, as vital plot elements concern the last few episodes of the season. "Moments of Transition" is a 16-player game with intensive characterisation and tactical elements.
Written by Loki The Unsworn. All characters and concepts contained in this freeform are © and ™ John Michael Straczynski, Babylonian Productions and Warner Bros, 1997.
A Wyvern's Lair Production
It's the holidays, and the halls of Willowsmere School (a prestigious boys school in rural Kent) are silent, the dorms empty and the dining hall all but deserted. Only a handful of staff and students, unable to return to their families and loved ones for the Yuletide season, remain at the school.
Now, the weather has turned bad. The wonderful Christmas snow has become a blizzard, one which, according to the weather reports, could last for a few days. Access to the nearest town, 10 miles away, has been lost.
Worse yet, the School Principal, Mr. Walter Sebastian, has been found in the basement, dead. Was it an accident, or is someone in the school a murderer?
Holidays at Willowsmere is a small mystery freeform set in an English Boarding School in the mid 1970's, for 17 players. Mature players only, as some contents may offend.

Black Death presents
In 1870 Tumbleweed was nothing more than a place where two roads, going from somewhere to anywhere, meet in the middle of nowhere. Who could have guessed that it would be a major crossroad in the lives of these few?
Only a few hours after arriving in town, a rich stranger is found dead.
There was the manager of the hotel and his staff. The guy that ran the local store. A washed up doctor and a frontier preacher. The sheriff and the showgirl. The gambler, the rancher and the stranger's wife.
Life is pretty cheap out here in the West, but would this one death cost them all more dearly than they can afford...
A single session, "Black Death", freeform
for 12 players.
Some adult concepts included.

Canning.
