August 8th, 2009 - Greetings all!

Mad scientists, secret laboratories, human genome experiments, rocket ships and atom splitting... from Dr Frankenstein to Stephen Hawking, the theme for Arcanacon XXVIII is "For science!" This year's convention will run from Saturday 23 January to Tuesday 26 January 2010 (note that Tuesday is a public holiday, but Monday is not).

We'd like to invite all new or veteran writers to submit events for this year's convention. You can go with the theme ("For science!"), or write in any other setting or genre of your own devising.

Ideas and submissions are welcome for the following categories:

  • RPGs - tabletop roleplaying games
  • Living RPGs - Living D20 games
  • Freeforms - freeform games
  • Miniatures - Wargames of any system
  • Boardgames - Boardgames of all types
We are now open for statements of interest. Final blurbs are due on 30th September, preferably using AON to submit them :) You might also want to peruse our writing area, which contains help for new and old writers.

Please note that recent trends have swung away from 3-session games; if you would like to run a 3-session event, please contact the organisers first.

We'd love to hear from you with your ideas of bold new games which go forth and conquer imagination... for science!
