Living Arcanis events for 2009
LA-IK-MET-02-02 [Metra] "The Warlord of Quagga" by Sean Smith
Years ago, the mixed blooded Centurion Ig of the Many Tongues led a small cohort of legionnaires into Uggur on a secret quest. He was never heard from again. In an effort to gain favor with Emperor Calsestus, the Satrap of Eppion is hiring search parties to discover if the whispered rumors are true. Does Quagga indeed have a new warlord, and who will he serve?
This STANDARD adventure is designed for 1st to 18th level characters
(APLs 2 through 17).
LA-IK-MET-02-03 [Metra] "A Confluence of Thorns" by Chris Sanders
Alphaeus' gambit has born fruit and the Warlord has come. Metra trembles at his footsteps, with her people fearing that his armies are not far behind. The Satrap calls for the Council of Lords, so that all may see his new ally and know his strength. But is the Warlord of Quagga content to be a hound for show, or has he come with his own plots in mind?
It is highly recommended you play The Warlord of Quagga before playing this scenario.
This STANDARD adventure is designed for 3rd to 18th level characters
(APLs 3 through 17).
LA-IK-MET-02-04 [Metra] "Where the Streets are Paved with Blood" by Joe Cirillo
The Satrap of Eppion has always preferred fighting his own battles within the shadows of Metra while maintaining strict order amongst his masses. But on a day that will either live in infamy or glory within the annals of history, a city will come alive out of those same shadows with unlikely enemies and allies alike. It is time to choose who you shall serve.
As this is the third part of a trilogy, it is recommended to play this adventure after The Warlord of Quagga and A Confluence of Thorns.
Warning: This event is a two-track adventure, dependent upon where your loyalties lie with Metra and the Coryani Empire as a whole. This is also a combat intensive adventure and therefore has been given the “Crawl” designation.
This CRAWL adventure is designed for 3rd to 18th level characters
(APLs 3 through 17).
LA-IK-COL-01-03 [Lustia] - "Blood on the Leaves" by Dennis D. Kirkpatrick
In the wild forests north of Lustia, the town of Waldweg has forged a life for itself through wars, famines and calamities under the protection of the val'Dellenovs for centuries. Present day, Sir Lukis Gelbachen and his wife, Lady Ursula val'Dellenov serve the freemen of the town, managing the land with a just and fair hand. Now, after decades of moonlit silence, old legends stalk the deep woods under a verdant moon.
This adventure begins the Under a Verdant Moon series. This adventure may be of particular interest to members of the Orthodoxy and Azure Way, as well as Mourners in Silence. However, having any such characters in the party is by no means required. Characters who prefer to solve problems solely using "diplomacy of the sword" will find this adventure especially difficult.
This STANDARD scenario is designed for characters of 2nd to 14th level
(APLs 3 through 13).
What's with the scheduling of the Living games?
Living Games tend run a little longer than regular sessions, so to accommodate this, you have to purchase 2 sessions to play a single Living Game, or 3 sessions if you wish to play two living games.
- You have to register online before the Con, or at the registration desk at the Con for either the Living Forgotten Realm Double or Living Arcanis Double to play two games, or Living Forgotten Realms Single or Living Arcanis Single session to play one.
- Once at the con and before the session starts, you'll need to speak to the organisers of the Living Game you want to play, to organise who you'll be playing with, and what game you'll be playing. You can find them at the Living Games table in the registration hall. We recommend doing this as soon as you are able to ensure you don't miss out.
If you can't organise a game for a session, we'll be happy to organise a refund for you. Just get a Living organiser to sign on your registration sheet and bring it to the registration desk.
