Salt of the Earth
The match blazed to life, illuminating the sun-leathered face. "There's sumthin' out there... Out on the Flats." Smoke billowed around the old Prospector's face as he shot the last of his whiskey. "Sumthin' unnatural." The words hung in the air as the piano ceased it's song. "I won't be goin' back out again."
A burst of heat and sand swirled into the saloon as the doors were pushed open. "Ah, you're here, I see," the newcomer said, taking the Prospector's now-empty chair. "Shall we discuss my proposal?"
