Wrap Up for 2006

Wow. Man, it was hot.

450 people packed theirselves into the Collingwood Education Centre over the Australia Day weekend, a number about equal to the year before, and about as many as the venue can comfortably hold. At one point we nearly ran out of available playing space, but the room booking scheme works well and no one was playing in stairwells.

With only the usual minor hitches, everything went pretty well, at least from our point of view. There were some stuffups, as is bound to happen, but we try and learn from the things that go wrong, and not make the same mistakes again. All our mistakes are bright and shiny and new.

The Orgs would like to thank everyone who came, whether they played, wrote, help, ran or just watched. Everyone helped make it a pretty fine weekend, despite the somewhat suboptimal conditions, especially on the third floor. Extraspecial thanks to those people who put in the extra effort in the canteen, or at the BBQ, or just generally around the place, just to help out.

Next year

Arc will definately be happening again next year, tentatively on the weekend of the 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th (Thursday to Sunday again). The theme for 2007 is "Silver Screens" - the Golden Age of Holywood. Info should start to appear around midyear - watch out for the call for writers and events.
