Warmachine: Steamroller tournament

"I heard they wuz gonna start takin' missed shots outta our wage."
"Well... I reckon we don't miss, then."
   - One Long Gunner to another at the Falling STar Tavern

WARMACHINE is a game of steampunk fantasy miniatures combat by Privateer Press. The Steamroller tournament system is designed to reward the best generals in each faction as they fight it out for the Grand Champion medallion.

Players will use 500 point armies from their chosen faction. Each player may bring two (2) variant army lists.

  • Both lists must be from the same faction
  • Copies of both lists must be given to the tournament organiser before the first round is played.
  • Each list must contain one warcaster
  • Lists will be selected for each round after the opposing faction is announced

All models in current release from Warmachine: Prime, Escalation, Apotheosis and the No Quarter Magazine may be used. Mercenary armies should use the Merc Charter guidelines from No Quarter #1. Pre-release models and non-Privateer miniatures should not be fielded.

Armies do not have to be fully painted, although there will be prizes for "Best Painted Army" and a random prize draw for players with fully painted forces.

The Foothold, Hold The Line, Pendulum and Condemnation scenarios will be used, as detailed in the Steamroller rules pack.

Numbered medals will be awarded to the best Cygnaran, Cryxian, Protectorate, Khadoran and Mercenary generals, with an additional medal for Best Overall. The tournament champion will also recieve foil unit cards for the army fielded in the final round.
