Skating on Thin Ice

Winter in Perrenland is cold. Damned cold. As bitter as the chill in Igwilv's heart.
Some years, even the mighty Lake Quag freezes over.
Come Spring however, the thaw arrives and the waters are soon clear again.

Except this year. Spring has not been kind to Perrenland, Lake Quag has not thawed at all. A thick sheet of ice remains, transforming the gentle and mysterious lake into a deadly expanse of impromptu land.

The organisers of the annual Schwartzenbruin to Traft Yacht Race are worried. Damned worried. The war is encroaching on all fronts and things look grim indeed for Perrenland. The grip of Iuz is tightening, and nowhere more clearly than here at Lake Quag. The race holds great religious significance and the winning boat is an omen for the year ahead. To have no winner at all would be an omen of the most dire kind.

So what can the Kerk priests do?

"Can't we just build ice-boats instead this year?"
"Arr, but the frozen lake is cursed. No-one can cross it and live, they say."

And then a young voice, high and clear, rises up from the back of the crowd:
"We're a nation of mercenaries aren't we? Why don't we just pay some of those hardy adventuring types to crew the boats?"

A Perrenland regional module for APLs 4-14, to be run as an interactive adventure at Arcanacon. This modified Living Greyhawk interactive will be run three times at the con, once each at APLs 12-14 (Sessions A&B), 8-10 (Sessions C&D) and 4-6 (Sessions K-L).

This two-session event combines a Perrenland regional module with interactive elements. Parts of this event will be available as a standard regional module after the convention, however the interactive elements will only be available at Arcanacon.
