Sense and Stakeability

by Scott Vandervalk, Laura Birch & Ryan Naylor

"After all it is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife."
Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen

"Listen to them -- the children of the night. What music they make! Ah, sir, you dwellers in the city cannot enter into the feelings of the hunter."
    Dracula, by Bram Stoker

The cream of country society assembles at Greyhaven Manor, the distinguished School for Young Ladies, to celebrate the birthday of Headmistress Agatha Austen with an evening of musical entertainment and light refreshments.

The graduating class eagerly await friends from London to partake in the latest gossip. Gentlemen from Town come under orders to inspect potential marriage prospects. Country squires hope to ingratiate themselves to their betters. Noble families attend to visit with their daughters.

But all is not well despite the merriment so meticulously planned. Rumours of highwaymen in the area are on everyone's lips. Strange lights appear over the moors after dark. Gruesome howls echo on nights of the full moon. Is there something lurking in the ancient depths of Greyhaven Manor? Is it safe? Will Mother ever forgive you if you do not arrive home engaged?
