This year's Arcanacon is the province of Men in Black, UFOs, tinfoil beanies, Gnolls playing in the grass, mind control lasers, Illuminati and the knowledge that They are always watching.
Many roleplaying games are based around conspiracies, and almost everyone's game has some hidden secret that the players are trying to either uncover or conceal.
But some games are more suited to the genre than others - games like Unknown Armies, Delta Green, Over the Edge and GURPS:Illuminati have secrets as their very core, and others such as Vampire and Cthulhu wouldn't be the same without shadowy figures manipulating events to their own advantage.
Even games without secrets as part of their usual genre have cultists, hidden bad guys acting as the evil lords behind the scenes, and people just plain out to get the characters.
So, the theme is a natural for Arcanacon 23....
