In 2002, Arcanacon introduced a new initiative - for the first time, people who attend the convention will be eligible for ongoing discounts and incentives, not just during the con- vention, but for the full year.
To be eligible to receive an Arcanacard, you must pre-register to attend the convention for at least nine sessions - whether as a Get Wrecked player or as a fulltime GM. People who register as helpers can also count those sessions towards the 9 necessary sessions, as can part time GMs.
There are no other requirements. You can even register online and pay on the day: the card will be waiting for you at the registration desk.
To announce new benefits, we will send out an electronic newsletter (or a snail mail one if you don't have/wish to use email) and we will also be using the website.
We're currently chasing up a number of interstate sponsors, a cinema, book stores and other Role-Player-frequented venues. If you have any ideas for extra sponsors, or if you know a business that might be interested, please contact the Arcanacon organisers.
To announce changes to the Arcanacard, limited time special offers for card holders and Arcanacard Holder Special Events we have created a newsletter. It will come in either electronic or snail mail version, though less frequently for the snail mail, since we're overworked convention organisers.
Don't worry, we'll still ensure you get fair notice for everything we do and you will still be eligible for the benefits even if you don't want to receive the newsletter (you can check our website for changes or contact the committee).
What sort of special offers/special events are we planning? Well, so far we've organised a limited number of double discount days at Mind Games (dates to be announced through the website and newsletter), some cheap drink nights at Café Krifi, open to all Arcanacard pre and post convention dinners, movie nights, parties and anything other kinds of events we can think of.

A regular newsletter will be sent by email every three months,smaller updates may be sent throughout the year as additional items of news become available. For those of you prefering postal mail, a hardcopy newsletter will be sent out twice yearly. The website will be updated as events are announced. That's all.
