WarHammer - Arcanacon Fantasy Battles
presented by Cameron and Michael Hess
Welcome all fantasy battle players to the beginning of Arcanacon Fantasy
Battles. Run with the support of NWA gaming club this one-day tournament
is using the Rogue Trader system for 2000 points. However you will notice a
slight difference from this to the 2 day Rogue Trader Format. Basically
the percentage of overall points which are attributed to sportsmanship
and composition are slightly higher and as such we really recommend you
pull out your painting fingers and while I cannot tell you the composition
criteria without suitable levels of bribing just take care not to "min/max"
anything. I'm not going to be specific but try and keep it friendly out
there, team.
The following is a list of this year's rules, provisos, and basically
any other pedantic junk I feel like putting in.
- Armies are to be 2000 points in size.
- We like our armies to look good, so if it's not citadel or painted, it's not on the table.
- If circumstances mean you are going to turn up late to a round for any reason, please inform the organizer of the problem or you will be considered absent and will lose all points for that round.
- Any questions will be answered but we encourage players to read the manual first, and a roll of the dice will simply solve most ambiguous rules. Note, the organizer's decision is final.
- Army minimums and maximums will be strictly adhered to and all players must bring a spare copy of their army lists to hand in to the organizer at the beginning of the tournament.
- Points will be allocated for wins, draws and losses, sportsmanship and painting as well as army makeup.
- The Tournament will be played on the Monday and will consist of three rounds starting at 9:00, 1:00 and 4:00.
- Prizes will be awarded for 1st , 2nd and 3rd places as well as an award for sportsmanship and the best painted army. Also note that the results will be entered into the rogue trader ranking system.
- Please register before the day. Entries on the day will be accepted but it will be a more enjoyable experience for everyone if I don't have a nervous breakdown in the lead up to the event.
- Anyone wishing to use a "back of the Book" army list must request permission from Michael Hess. We reserve the right to veto the list, but we promise to give fair notice if you do the same to us.
