"Twenty thousand years after the Resonance War, while
morphologically and physiologically stable, the core human race has
evolved to become almost unrecognisable when compared to those who fled
Earth so long ago. While none have grown to match the Five Immortals in
sheer might, the gap diminishes considerably whenever some Houseless and
neglected child is discovered to have inherited a fraction of their
legacy. Increasingly, our war machines are becoming superfluous in the
face of our collective and individual power.
I do not fear our complacency. It does not concern me that
we have faced no serious challenge since our triumph over the Phoenix.
I am terrified of what will be unleashed when we become enraged."
- Lady Odessa
All your life you have been neglected, rejected and pitied.
The adults, well, they treated you kindly, but the children were cruel.
After all, why would they choose you for sports when you couldn't resonate
with the team, or when you lacked the powers of the Noble Houses? You
live in the perfect society, a utopia, but you have always been alone.
You're just not special like the rest of humanity.
Today, though, all that will change. The Sentinel has given
you your own mecha, trusted you with the most powerful machine of war that
there has ever been. You will never be a nobody again.
....but, why you?
Sanctuary: Legacy of Power is an epic Mecha Sci-Fi game loosely inspired by Macross, Candidate for Goddess and Evangelion. This is not a direct sequel to the Sanctuary game run at Conquest 2001, and thus having played that game is not necessary nor particularly advantageous.
