The new imperial space station fills the tiny porthole windows of the
shuttle. As the shuttle begins docking procedures, the passengers prepare
to disembark...
Vat Bin Lazlo
'I should never have let Rhys answer the phone! I should have said
no... oh, I couldn't... refusing the job would've just caused suspicion.
They may have started looking into my past. Besides, the money is good
and we do need it. Bugger, think of it as just another installation of
air conditioning. I'll go in, do the job and get out fast. A space station.
A huge space station. Crawling with imperials! I need a drink!'
Rhys Lazlo
'If my friends find out I spent the weekend hiding in a cargo crate
with my little brother I'll just die. But I couldn't let Joey go alone,
I mean I wouldn't have been able to stop him or anything; so better I
go too. Besides when else am I going to get a chance to get off planet
and see the galaxy. The Rebellion doesn't just take on kids from backwater
planets with no experience you know! Uncle may need my help - especially
if he starts drinking! I hope he doesn't start drinking - we really need
this job.'
Joey Lazlo
'Wow a real imperial space station - I wish Rhys would move over it's
squishy in here - I had to let her come with me, otherwise she would have
squealed on me. I'll have to score something really good to prove to everyone
that I was on a space station! I will have everyone eating wookie snot
over this! I rock!'
Emmarr-Sixen, General utility
droid
'Vat Bin seems worried. The responsibility of looking after the children
and holding the business together seems to be eating away at his all too
shaky resolve to stay sober. I'm surprised that we are taking this job,
we've always stayed away from jobs for the Imperial government. That's
OK with me. I was owned by the Imperials several reprogrammings ago and
dark memories sometimes leak through during my downtime. Still, we are
here now and I'm sure that I can cover for any indiscretion Vat Bin may
perpetrate. He's a good man, but troubled. Remember Emmarr, keep your
tools clean, do a good job.'
