The Time of the Circle

Victoria reigns and the sun never sets on the great British Empire. Or at least, not on all of it at once...

Tonight is Halloween, and for the first time in years, the full moon will coincide with it... and to those in the know, this is a very significant date: at this time, the Circle can be Opened, and those man was not meant to know, long-shuttered from this earthly plane may break free to ravage all that is. Fortunately, most would agree that the Circle should stay Closed, and many are determined to see that it does.

But there are always some who should know better - those who have made unspeakable and unholy pacts with the Red Death itself...

And it is but sunset - no one knows yet whether the Circle will be Opened, or remain Closed, nor who will be responsible for either outcome. But everyone has an opinion - and a plan. Come moonrise, all cards will be laid on the table and all will be known...
