A land of heat, and dust, and many-armed gods. A land that engulfs you like a feverish hallucination. Lepers beg outside ornamented temples. Rabid dogs prowl the streets. Corpses float down sacred rivers. The British rule this land, but they are still strangers here, aliens under an ancient sky.
