DAWN PATROL

by Michael Hill
(no, not Wes)
The Mission:
to fly a patrol over the Western Front, shoot down any enemy aircraft and be home in time for Tea. Just another day in the British Airforce.
The Reality:
your plane is made of wood and canvas held together with wire, which shudders during strong winds and maneuvers ; The engine leaks oil and has a timing problem; and the machineguns tend to jam as they heat up. And no parachute.

The good news is the German aircraft are just as bad.

Welcome to air combat in World War 1.
