Two sessions of Nephilim, presented by Chaosium Inc.

Teams of four players compete for the 2000 Australian Chaosium Masters' Trophy, and other prizes. This year, to celebrate the new millennium (which has either arrived, or is still to come, depending upon how you count things), we are presenting a single Nephilim scenario, run across two sessions. Next year should see the return of the Arlen Entourage in a Cthulhu scenario, and an Elric! adventure (perhaps set in the worlds of either Corum or Hawkmoon).

Judging for the Masters' tournament is based upon characterisation, teamwork, genre play, enjoyment and completion of the scenario. It should be emphasised that detailed system and/or setting knowledge is not strictly required, but, especially in the case of Nephilim, it can be valuable to understand the basic concepts of the game.

Individual entries are discouraged, but not forbidden. This is, by its very nature, a team-based event. It is our inclination to ensure that complete teams get a chance to play before individual players are scheduled.

About Nephilim

What you know of the past is at best misleading. Powerful magical creatures walk amongst us, guiding the development of society for their own purposes. There are those who oppose them, but even their machinations are unknown to most.

Nephilim are ageless, formless, magical entities which merge with a succession of people down through the centuries. They retain memories of their past incarnations, and are able to manipulate the five magical fields that envelop the earth. Theirs is a life of occult discovery and adventure. They must keep their true nature hidden, for fear of those who pursue them, but then they choose to act, they have considerable abilities to call upon.
